Nottingham Forest lost 3-2 to Manchester United at Old Trafford, with referee Michael Salisbury proving the pantomime villain.
Morato equalised for Forest after Luke Shaw scored an early goal, for Forest but shortly after, the controversial moment occurred.
Matheus Cunha slid the ball into the bottom corner, but only after Bryan Mbeumo controlled the ball with his arm, with VAR sending the referee over to the screen.
😡Nottingham Forest have been robbed by VAR at Old Trafford. AGAIN!
Why are we not getting any luck with VAR again!
Salisbury decided to stay with his original decision, however, and the celebrations started for Cunha, who was borderline laughing at the decision.
Afterwards, Forest had sympathy from all comers and now a former World Cup match official thinks the goal should have been disallowed.

Darren Cann supports Nottingham Forest claims
Cann was one of Howard Webb’s assistant referees on the 2010 World Cup Final between Spain and the Netherlands.
He is now working for the BBC in a pundit capacity, and he’s had his say on the shocking decision that impacted the Forest game against Manchester United.
Cann thinks the goal being allowed to stand was the wrong decision and suggested Forest were extremely unlucky to be on the wrong end of the decision.
Cann told BBC Sport: “Clearly, you can see the ball comes off Mbeumo’s arm prior to him scoring. He controls the ball, whilst he’s not the scorer, and I think football’s expectation is that the handball, as it is, should be disallowed. I think VAR is right to recommend a review, and on this occasion, it should have been disallowed.”
😤How on earth has Manchester United’s second goal stood against Nottingham Forest?!
A complete and utter disgrace!
Forest will have to dust themselves down and try to finish the season with a flourish against Bournemouth next weekend at the City Ground.
It’s quite sickening that this one went against Forest on a day when in truth, they played quite well after a relatively slow start at Old Trafford.
Cann is spot on to make this claim, and it will be interesting to see what the reaction of the media is when this sort of thing goes against United in the future.
