Swiss media delivers interesting verdict on Nottingham Forest player Dan Ndoye

Dan Ndoye endured a really indifferent debut season with Nottingham Forest, but he’s made the Switzerland squad for the World Cup.

Ndoye was added to the ranks from Bologna, where he had helped the team with the Coppa Italia, arriving at Forest shortly after Anthony Elanga’s departure.

Do we give Dan Ndoye another season or sell him this summer?

He's clearly got something based on his Switzerland form! 🤔

Elanga was flogged to Newcastle for £60 million, and frankly, Ndoye struggled to step into that breach and make any kind of impact on the team.

Ndoye will hope to come good at Forest next season, but in the short term, he will be fully focused on the World Cup, and the camp has got off to a flyer for Switzerland.

Dan Ndoye stars as Switzerland thrash Jordan

Switzerland played their first World Cup warm-up at the weekend with Jordan on the wrong end of a good hiding.

Ndoye was in fine form for his country as he lined up in a more advanced role on the right wing, scoring the second goal of a 4-1 victory.

He was given a score of 5/6 for his performance by Swiss media outlet 20 Minuten, and they raved about his display at the end of the game.

The outlet said: “As always, nimble, deceives the defenders with his feints and finds the goal after his first missed chance.

“He pulls away as fast as an arrow after the Aebischer pass and finishes ice-cold alone in front of the goal to make it 2-0.”

Ndoye clearly has some quality, and he rarely lets his country down when he gets called up.

🤝Who should be the FIRST player sold by Nottingham Forest this summer?

The player will almost certainly be considered as a starter for his country in the United States, and perhaps there is some hope that he can still have a future at Forest.

Ndoye still has it all to prove and given that Vitor Pereira rarely picked him, he will have it all to do after the World Cup.
