Manchester United will be vastly improved next season under Michael Carrick, and they’re in the market for a Nottingham Forest player, it would seem.
The Red Devils committed daylight robbery on Forest back in May after a dodgy handball decision gave them a 3-2 win over the Reds.
Who is your ‘hear me out’ signing for Nottingham Forest to make this summer?! 👀🤔
We only want RED HOT takes! 🔥
Clearly, Carrick was suitably impressed with a number of Forest players that day and United have been linked with Elliot Anderson previously.
It seems as though another could be on the radar at Old Trafford, however, and Forest are keen to keep him on Trentside.

Manchester United want Ibrahim Sangare
According to reports, United are keen to try and sign Sangare, but Forest are going to act quickly.
Sangare has a couple of years to run on his existing contract, and Forest want to extend that deal to keep him at the club even longer.
The Ivorian was a mainstay in the Forest team last season, and he truly started to justify his £30 million price tag.
Sangare hasn’t always found things easy in England, but in 2025/26, he played sufficiently enough to catch admiring glances from scouts at Manchester United.
In total, Sangare has made 77 appearances during his time at Forest and at 28, there is no surprise that the Reds want him tied down for his best years.
Forest have to keep Sangare
Besiktas are also keen on Sangare, and given that the player cost £30 million, it seems as though it would take a huge offer to tempt Forest into a sale.
Sangare was integral to the Forest style of play last season, and whenever he was injured, his absence was sorely felt.
The Ivorian will be fully focused on the World Cup right now, but when he returns, it looks likely there will be a new contract waiting for him to sign at Forest.
