Chris Wood came face-to-face with his Nottingham Forest teammate Elliot Anderson on Saturday as New Zealand faced England in a World Cup warm-up match.
The Three Lions were pretty shocking despite a 1-0 win and Thomas Tuchel has a lot to prove ahead of the tournament getting underway.
If Manchester City were to offer a player to sweeten the Elliot Anderson deal, who would you like included?
Wood captained the All Whites, and they will be looking for their first win in a World Cup when they face Iran, Egypt and Belgium at the 2026 installment of the tournament.
It was great to see two Forest players in action on the pitch in Tampa last night, and Wood had some praise for his teammate after the match.

What Chris Wood loved about Elliot Anderson’s performance
The New Zealand captain was on the pitch for some of the second half, and he got to see Anderson on the other side of the pitch for a change.
Normally, it’s Anderson trying to play probing through balls to get Wood through on goal, but on this occasion, the All White star was watching in awe.
Speaking after the game, Wood said: “He’s outstanding, it showed tonight. It was nice to play up against him for the first time and understand what he does. Some of those cutting balls were fantastic.
Wood will have a role to play at Forest next season, even if he does lose his title as the club’s number one striker.
Fill in the blank: Jean Philippe Mateta would be a __/10 summer signing…🤔
The Crystal Palace striker is linked with Forest again!
Whether or not Anderson remains on Trentside is up in the air, with Manchester City and Manchester United reportedly keen on landing him.
Anderson’s quality is there for all to see, however, and it will be fascinating to see what fee Forest can receive for a player who Wood clearly rates very highly.
