Davide Frattesi has once again been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest this summer.

The Reds will be in the market for a central midfielder or two, with Elliot Anderson seemingly set to leave the City Ground for Manchester City.

Frattesi has been linked with Forest on two separate occasions, with the player rejecting a move last summer and during the January transfer window.

With the midfielder now surplus to requirements with Inter, speculation is rife again surrounding Frattesi, and he’s made a decision already over his future.

David Frattesi makes Nottingham Forest decision

According to reputable overseas journalist Matteo Moretto, Frattesi is once again undeterred over a move to England this summer.

The Italy international has Napoli, Juventus and Roma monitoring his services, and Moretto recently told a podcast that he’s focused on staying in Italy.

He said: “Davide Frattesi will leave Inter this summer, a move to Roma is very uncertain, they have other priorities. Napoli is a concrete option, Nottingham Forest has re-emerged, but he doesn’t see them as a priority, and Juventus is also worth considering.”

Frattesi has been a solid, if unspectacular, player for Inter, and if he were to be signed as an Anderson replacement, it would be very underwhelming.

Hopefully, Forest can move on quickly from this target and attack an extensive shortlist of players compiled by the club’s recruitment team.

👀Should we be aiming a little bit higher?🤔

Frattesi is clearly itching to remain in Italy, and if he doesn’t even want to come to England, then Forest should refrain from wasting any more energy on pursuing him.

Thankfully, this is one deal that looks to be over before it’s even started and Forest aren’t going to waste lots of time over it from this point.
