Sabri Lamouchi sacked by Tunisia
According to reports on Monday afternoon, Tunisian chiefs have held a meeting where it was decided that the boss will be dismissed from his role with immediate effect.
Lamouchi will depart after overseeing just five games in charge, and after winning the first one against Haiti, he’s failed to win against Canada, Austria, Belgium and Sweden.
The 54-year-old had deployed Michael Hefele – formerly of Forest – as his assistant manager and it looks very likely as though he will depart too.
This represents a disappointing blow for Lamouchi, who spoke of his pride at leading the team at the World Cup and it will be interesting to see who gets the nod from here.
Should Forest have signed Giovanni Reyna permanently?
The attacker didn't do much at the CG but clearly he has talent!
Tunisia have the Netherlands and Japan to play in this group and there is a real race against time to get a manager appointed in time for their next game on Saturday.
Lamouchi was a very popular head coach during his time at Forest and after this embarrassing call from Tunisia, the former boss will find plenty of sympathy from Reds supporters.
