Arnaud Kalimuendo endured a pretty torrid first season at Nottingham Forest as the club went through four head coaches.
The French striker signed from Rennes for a fee worth £30 million and ended the campaign on loan with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
Brandt, Vlahovic and Bissouma are all free agents… who should Nottingham Forest sign? ✍️
Kalimuendo enjoyed a good end to the season in Germany, scoring six goals from 19 appearances.
His time at Forest was less fruitful, with just nine appearances in the Premier League and two goals coming from four outings in the Europa League.
Now, speculation is rife on his future, and it would appear as though things are progressing for the player to sort his future out.

Arnaud Kalimuendo wants to stay at Frankfurt
According to BILD, it’s believed that Kalimuendo is keen to remain in Germany next season, and the clubs are now locked in talks.
Forest are willing to offload him but would like around £23 million for his services, with Frankfurt currently offering £18 million to the Reds.
Negotiations are currently ongoing between the two parties, and there is hope that everyone can agree on a deal that works well.
Kalimuendo clearly isn’t willing to waste another season of his career wondering whether or not he will get a chance to become a regular at Forest.
The Reds could enter the market for a new talisman this summer, and there’s an argument that one is definitely needed should Kalimuendo leave.
Would you consider cashing in on Matz Sels this summer?
How would you rate his time at Forest? 👍or👎
At 24, it’s a real shame that Kalimuendo feels that he wants to leave permanently, and in a few years, Forest might seriously regret not giving him more minutes when they did have him.
Whether a deal can come to fruition ahead of pre-season remains to be seen, and it does feel as though Forest won’t be ripped off when it comes to any sales this summer.
