The move involving Davide Frattesi from Inter to Nottingham Forest looks to be edging closer.

The Italian midfielder is set to leave Inter this summer, with Cristian Chivu keen to offload him from his squad ahead of next season.

FILL IN THE GAP: Davide Frattesi would be a __/10 signing….🤔

👀Should we be aiming a little bit higher?🤔

Frattesi has rejected Forest before, and now it would appear he’s had a change of heart over signing for the club.

Now, with the transfer window proving a bit of a slow burner – likely due to the World Cup – an update has come to light on Frattesi once again.

How Davide Frattesi now feels about signing for Forest

It does feel as though Frattesi is now on board with the idea of coming to Forest.

Matteo Barzaghi has been asked about the potential deal on a recent podcast, and he has shared more details about the potential deal.

He said: “Negotiations are underway for Frattesi at Nottingham.

“The player has, let’s say, positive disposition. It could be a loan with an obligation. Let’s see. Chivu definitely doesn’t want him.”

Frattesi has been out on the fringes at Inter over the last 12 months, and it’s no surprise he’s come round to the idea of moving to England.

The midfielder isn’t really a like-for-like replacement for Anderson, and it would be expected that another midfielder would arrive on Trentside, too.

Frattesi has enjoyed some good times at Inter, winning trophies with the club and that winning mentality could be ideal in the Forest dressing room.

A loan with an obligation would be ideal from a PSR perspective and hopefully, the deal can work out for all parties.
