Nottingham Forest are going to enter the market for a host of new players, with PSG now rivalling them for one target.

Elliot Anderson is linked with a move to Manchester City and if his £130 million deal goes through as planned, the Reds will have money to spend.

Would you take Khephren Thuram at Nottingham Forest next season? 🔥

That could lead to Forest trying to sign 4-6 new players before the summer is out, and they are needed after a fight against survival last season.

Now, one of their summer targets looks to be catching strays from much bigger clubs than Forest, and it feels as though getting anything over the line will be a challenge.

Khephren Thuram wanted by PSG

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Thuram is now wanted by PSG as the Juventus player looks for a way out of the Old Lady this summer.

Thuram is valued at around £45 million by his current club and Forest will likely find it hard to sign him regardless of the competition for his services.

The French performer has been in fine form for Juve since checking in from Nice during the summer of 2024, and now, the Old Lady’s financial situation is making a sale seem likely.

The central midfielder scored four goals and claimed five assists last season for Juve, and at 25, he is approaching the best form of his career.

However, with PSG now seemingly in the mix to sign Thuram, it feels as though Forest have zero chance of competing with the Champions League winners for this particular signing.

Forest must move on from Thuram

This does feel like a race that Forest simply can’t win.

Thuram has massive clubs competing for his signature, including PSG and with that in mind, Forest will have to cast their net further afield.

Do you think Thomas Tuchel now regrets not taking Morgan Gibbs-White to the World Cup

England looked devoid of ideas against Ghana!😡

George Syrianos has vast experience in poaching players from the Bundesliga and perhaps that is a market where Forest will feel they can have more joy this summer.

Thuram looks like a player destined for a top European club when he moves on from Juventus and from a fan point of view it seems pointless spending too much time over this interest.
