Nicolo Schira has retweeted a story that he posted a fortnight ago regarding Forest going to make a bid for Jones.

It’s believed that Forest are going to try and sign him for around £35- 40 million and would offer a five-year contract.

Jones has come through the youth ranks at Liverpool, making 228 appearances for the senior team.

Jones has been part of Liverpool teams that have won two Premier League titles and a Champions League crown, but now the desire to play first-team football is proving strong.

At 25-years-old, Jones could prove a very useful signing for Forest, and the fact he’s homegrown is also a huge bonus.

It would appear that after Schira reposted this news story on his social media, things are going to ramp up and hopefully, Forest can win this race.

Oliver Glasner is now in place at the City Ground and landing Jones would be a real statement of intent as far as he’s concerned this summer.
