Swiss media rave about Dan Ndoye’s performance

The forward bagged his first goal at the World Cup with a well-taken effort which took the game into extra-time.

Ndoye is extremely important for the national team, and 20 Minuten rated him as a 5/6 for this performance, which they believe was of the highest order.

They wrote: “Initially, often unlucky in one-on-one situations, Ndoye was as tough as a well-done Argentinean steak and persevered. He was deservedly rewarded in the second half with a beautifully executed goal.”

Now, Ndoye will head off for a well-deserved rest and prepare to return to pre-season training with Forest in a few weeks as Oliver Glasner gets his feet under the table.

The big discussion point will be over whether or not Ndoye gets another chance at the City Ground or whether Forest will cut their losses and move him on.

Scoring against Argentina certainly won’t have done his confidence any harm and now it will be fascinating to see what the club decide over his future.
