How Elliot Anderson has already annoyed one of his Manchester City teammates

Elliot Anderson swapped Nottingham Forest for Manchester City shortly before England’s last-16 clash against Mexico.

The talented midfielder made a £116 million switch to the Etihad Stadium, with Forest making a significant profit on a player who cost just £35 million two seasons ago.

Who should be the official Nottingham Forest captain? Stick with Ryan Yates or give it permanently to Morgan Gibbs-White?

Let us know your thoughts…

Anderson was instrumental in helping Forest qualify for the Europa League in his first season on Trentside, with a run to the semi-final of that competition last season.

His departure was inevitable to a certain degree, given his brilliance and the potential he possesses, with City winning the race for his signature.

Ahead of him linking up with his City teammates, it would appear as though Anderson is already making enemies with his new club.

Elliot Anderson seriously annoyed Erling Haaland

England defeated Norway 2-1 in Miami on Saturday night, with two Jude Bellingham goals proving decisive for the Three Lions after 120 minutes of pulsating action.

Things could have been worse for England, however, had Norway’s second goal been allowed to stand, with VAR ruling that Anderson was shoved by Haaland before the ball was played from a corner.

Now, a video has spotted former Forest player Anderson in an exchange with Haaland, with the world-class centre-forward essentially taking offence at the midfielder for how easily he went over.

Anderson will hope to link up with Haaland next season as City look to win trophies under Enzo Maresca, and it will be fascinating to see if this incident is spoken about when they report for pre-season training.

Anderson has been superb at this World Cup and it offers a further reminder to Forest fans just how special the midfielder is and how lucky we’ve been as fans to watch him over the past two seasons.
