Elliot Anderson will officially make his switch to Manchester City from Nottingham Forest once the World Cup has finished.

The number eight shirt has been vacated at the City Ground, with Anderson’s form over two seasons earning him a big move to the Citizens.

Anderson helped Forest qualify for Europe in his maiden campaign at the Reds, and last season, he helped Forest survive relegation.

Forest have made £116 million in the sale of Anderson, and now, just days into pre-season, it would appear as though the new number eight has been unveiled.

Will Oliver Glasner utilise any of the forgotten men at Nottingham Forest? If so, who?

Let us know who you have high hopes for…

Nicolas Dominguez takes Nottingham Forest number eight

This will be Dominguez’s fourth season at Forest, and it would appear that he’s going to remain an important member of the squad by taking the number eight.

Clearly, Oliver Glasner will be the boss of how many minutes he gets on the pitch, but it seems that he was keen to get his hands on the number eight jersey.

Dominguez has always had the number 16 shirt since signing for Forest from Bologna, but now he’s managed to get the trendier number.

It’s highly unlikely that Dominguez will be viewed as the man to replace Anderson, with Forest almost certainly still looking to get a new midfielder through the door.

Dominguez never gives up when he’s called upon to play for Forest and it’s extremely popular that he’s been named as the new number eight.

Now, the Argentine will hope to prove himself to Glasner to give him a head start on grabbing Anderson’s spot before any potential new signing is added to the ranks.
