It’s been quite the summer for Dan Ndoye as he helped Switzerland make a run to the quarter-final of the World Cup for the very first time.
Ndoye was instrumental as the Swiss defied the odds to reach the last eight before succumbing to Argentina in a controversial contest.

Forest star Ndoye had equalised for Switzerland against Argentina, but it was without reward as the 2022 winners showed their quality to emerge victorious.
With Oliver Glasner now in place at Forest, Ndoye will have a new manager to try to impress, but it’s now been explained why he won’t be heading to Portugal with his teammates.

After the 2-0 win over Notts County in pre-season, Glasner was quizzed on the players who are yet to return, and it would seem that Ndoye is going to miss the entire Portugal camp.
He said in his post-match interview with Nottingham Live: “He (Dan) will return later. Every international player who was involved with the World Cup will have at least three weeks off, so he will return after the Portugal camp.
“It was a very long season and he played a lot of games, including the preparation for the World Cup. It is now time for him to relax so he can be mentally and physically fresh when he comes back.”
Ndoye will hope for chance to impress Glasner
When the Swiss performer does finally get down to work back at Forest, there will be plenty of pre-season games for him to get involved with.
Ndoye was frustrating last season, but much like many other players, he was probably one who struggled with the club going through four different managers.
