Nottingham Forest are one of a host of clubs linked with the signing of World Cup star Folarin Balogun.
Steve Cooper wanted Balogun at Forest during the 2021/22 campaign when the Reds won promotion but on that occasion, the club missed out on his signature.
Now 25, Balogun scored 19 goals in Ligue 1 last season and has a number of Premier League clubs looking at signing him this summer.

The striker scored three goals at the World Cup, and as a result, Forest, Leeds, Fulham and Newcastle are weighing up whether to bid for the Monaco talisman.
Forest have a chequered past with American players, and former goalkeeper Matt Turner has already previously stated what he really likes about the striker.

Turner was pretty hopeless during his time at Forest and was quickly moved on following 21 appearances for the team.
The goalkeeper has spent time playing and training with Balogun, though and in 2023 he was interviewed by Goal on the qualities that the striker possessed.
Turner said: “With Flo, it’s a great situation. It’s another dual national that the federation has gone out and been able to convince to come play, and I think that’s not just the federation, but it speaks really highly of the people that we have in the locker room.
“I think that Flo’s a really talented player that’s going to bring a fiery edge to the group. He’s a super competitive guy, and I think that fits in really well with the sort of people that we have in this locker room already.
“He’s going to be a great addition. It creates more competition at that number nine spot, and when you have competition, that just elevates everyone’s game.”
Balogun would be risk worth taking if the price is right
Monaco paid £30 million to sign Balogun, and it’s unlikely that he will come cheap.
However, if the price is right for Forest, perhaps he’d be a risk worth taking, especially considering that another striker would likely be offloaded if another arrives.

Balogun has left England to hone his skills, and it’s fair to say based on his performances over the last 12 months that he does know where the back of the net is.
The 25-year-old is at a nice age to continue improving, and based on Turner’s comments, perhaps there is a lot to like about Balogun checking in at Forest this summer.
