Blackburn will be stepping up their pre-season, with Rovers getting their campaign underway two weeks before Forest, and today’s game will be a tough assignment.
Dan Ndoye won’t be out in Portugal after his World Cup exploits, with Ibrahim Sangare and Chris Wood also yet to return following the tournament.
However, as the team was posted for the clash with Blackburn, there was another notable omission.

Why Omari Hutchinson didn’t play against Blackburn
The winger featured against Notts at the weekend, but today he wasn’t included in the squad.
Paul Taylor from The Athletic has confirmed that Hutchinson has some muscle tightness, and although it’s nothing serious, he’s not been risked today.
Hutchinson was a bit of a slow burner last season, but he did showcase that under Vitor Pereira he could become a very useful Premier League player.
With Glasner now at the helm, he will continue to benefit from top-level coaching, and the hope will be that he can get back on the pitch very soon.

Hutchinson finished last season with one goal and five assists from 31 outings in the Premier League and there will be more to come from the 22-year-old this season.
This injury hasn’t come at a great time, but it’s very positive that he should be able to shake it off for the next game later this week.
