Nottingham Forest continued their pre-season campaign with a 1-1 draw against Vitoria in a friendly that was played out behind closed doors.

The Reds will face Sporting CP on Friday to conclude their tour of Portugal, and once again a number of players got minutes into their legs.

🤔Would you welcome Beto to Nottingham Forest? Is he the sort of striker Oliver Glasner would want spearheading his team?

Let us know in the comments below…

Igor Jesus bagged the goal for Forest, continuing his perfect record of scoring in every pre-season game to date.

However, the equalising goal came from a penalty kick and the Forest man who committed the foul looks to have fluffed his lines when trying to impress Glasner.

Tyler Bindon blows chance to impress Oliver Glasner

The New Zealand defender was a player whom Forest head coach Glasner was very keen to run the rule over in pre-season.

It’s basically been a clean slate for everyone under Glasner so far, but some rash defending in this contest might have convinced the manager that he won’t be Premier League quality this season.

Bindon arrived at Forest with a lot of potential from Reading, and last season’s loan with Sheffield United was largely mixed.

Naturally, the international defender will be behind some big names on Trentside given his inexperience, and the signing of Ousmane Diomande will only decrease his chances of opportunities.

Bindon will want to quickly forget his erratic moment in the draw with Vitoria, and it does feel as though a loan spell will be needed away from the City Ground for the player this season.

As a talented young player, it’s not the end of the world that he’s made this mistake and ultimately he will now have to show a different side to Glasner as he looks to bounce back before pre-season commences.
