Nottingham Forest appear to have the right man at the helm in Evangelos Marinakis, with Olympiakos sporting director Christian Karembeu saying the Greek will “never give up”.
Which is good to hear given the ambition which exists at the City Ground.
Premier League football is longed for on Trentside.
Top tier outings were once expected by a loyal legion of followers.
That is no longer the case, but hope continues to spring eternal.
Optimism has been difficult to maintain at times, but a hardy fan base have refused to give up on the ultimate dream.
And they now have an owner of a similar mindset.
Marinakis has big plans for Forest.
Promises
He is also a man who likes to deliver on his word and has no intention of breaking his promises in Nottingham.
Which means top-flight competition will return to a revamped stadium at some stage.
There is no telling when, but sooner rather than later is the plan.
World Cup winner Karembeu, who works alongside Marinakis at Forest’s sister club in Greece, told BBC Nottingham Sport of the man pulling the strings: “When he is in a project he wants this project to be successful, or at least to go to the end.
“He will never give up.”
Those at Olympiakos are, however, aware that a larger-than-life owner who has delivered considerable success in Athens faces a much tougher test in England.
Karembeu added when quizzed on how big the project at Forest is: “Bigger than here!”
He is not wrong.

The Reds got a first-hand look at how strong Olympiakos have become during a recent pre-season friendly.
To expect to compete with a Champions League outfit at this stage in a rebuilding job would be misguided, to say the least.
Forest are no longer part of the European elite.
They have been before, though, and may one day grace a continental stage once more.
For now, domestic matters are the top priority.
Marinakis knows as much.
As does recently-recruited manager Sabri Lamouchi.
And all of those at his disposal.
It is, however, refreshing to learn that everybody is pulling in the same direction and that those in the corridors of power will not be shutting themselves away and throwing in the towel.
