Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall has shared his excitement over the club’s proposed redevelopment of the City Ground.
The Reds published an image on the club’s official Twitter account last week which highlights the amendments which will be made to the Peter Taylor Stand.
It’s fair to say that the redevelopment of the City Ground has been a long time coming. The Peter Taylor Stand in particular has needed replacing for a number of years and supporters are delighted that the club’s ownership is taking action.

One player who is just as excited as the fans is defender Joe Worrall. The 22-year-old is a boyhood fan of the club and can’t wait for the redevelopment.
He has been sharing his excitement with the club’s official media team over the last few days.
He said: “The community is massive. Forest are fantastic on that side of things with the community. For them to have facilities that they can use with the new stadium redevelopments will only benefit us.

“I think it’s a credit to the club and the owner for putting the money where his mouth is and trying to grow the club up towards the Premier League.”
Excitement
The Reds are set to begin redevelopment work on the City Ground and the surrounding area at the conclusion of the current campaign.
The developments will see the stadium’s capacity increase to 38,000, making it the biggest in the East Midlands. The Peter Taylor Stand is set to be completely rebuilt, whilst improvements will also be made to the Brian Clough Stand, the West Bridgford Stand and the Trentside area.

If the Reds do achieve promotion to the Premier League this season, they’ll have crowds of just 20,000 in the top flight next season. This is what the capacity will be capped at whilst the redevelopments take place.
It’s certainly an exciting time for everyone connected with the Reds.
