Some news emerged courtesy of Football League World earlier that claimed Nottingham Forest might consider offloading Lyle Taylor.
The Reds only signed the talisman last summer, taking him on a free transfer from Charlton Athletic.
Taylor started just 15 Championship games and often found himself behind Lewis Grabban or Glenn Murray in the pecking order.
He did make 24 appearances from the bench, although his season reaped just five goals for the club.

It is claimed that Barnsley, Blackburn and Middlesbrough are in contention to take him on loan for 2021/22.
Taylor found the net 11 times during the 2019/20 campaign, including two goals against the Reds.
As a result, he seemed like a good signing on a free, although he’s struggled to replicate his good form.
Taylor to leave Forest: Chris Hughton must think carefully
Forest would be wise to wait until they have a replacement lined up before letting Taylor leave.
Grabban was hardly in the most prolific of form last season and Hughton should think carefully over this decision.
Ideally, Forest will play a waiting game with Taylor. Once their own house is in order, perhaps the Reds will then let him head out.
At 31, Taylor will want to play football and it would seem as though Hughton isn’t overly convinced.
Forest fans seem somewhat divided at the moment over a possible departure.

Some believe he has the ability to continue earning chances at Forest.
Others, however, have been less than impressed and would happily see him moved on during the transfer window.
Following today’s reports, here is a look at how supporters have viewed the interest in Taylor.
I would carry him on my back to take him to anywhere that will have him

0 point in loaning him out to come back older and worth even less , sell sell sell

Definitely NOT. That would leave us with one recognised striker. Keep him unitl we sign one or preferably two more strikers.

Absolutely. The service was shocking but he didn’t look to have what it takes. That’ll bite us
