The public spat between Preston defender Jordan Storey and Nottingham Forest striker Lyle Taylor is showing no sign of reaching a close.
The Reds frontman mocked Storey when Preston travelled to the City Ground a few weeks ago.
The defender claimed that he was treading on his toes and subsequently went bleating to referee Simon Hooper.
Taylor felt that Storey needed to toughen up and produced a hilarious demonstration of a cry baby in the direction of his opponent.
Taylor has since claimed that Storey told him that it was a good job they were both on the football pitch as otherwise, he’d knock him out!
Forest did defeat Preston 3-0 that day and ultimately showed little of the fight that Storey was keen to run his mouth about.
Now, it would appear that the North End star is keen to continue the rivalry.
In this weekend’s programme for Preston’s game with Fulham, Storey took part in a feature which entails him picking his five ideal dinner guests.
Alongside Tyson Fury, Mike Tyson, Sacha Baron Cohen and David Attenborough is Forest man Taylor!
Storey joked: “He was my idol growing up and a true legend of the game…”
Forest man Taylor living rent-free in Preston player’s head?
This is a bit silly and perhaps both players would now be wise to focus their attention on playing football.
In truth, Taylor has only spoken about it in the aftermath when he’s been asked. BBC Radio 5 Live in particular asked him for the lowdown of what Storey said to him.
Now, it’s the Preston man who is stoking the fire once again. Really, he should perhaps be reeling from being on the pitch when Forest scored all three goals against Preston.
Both Storey and Taylor are often deemed backup options to cover for injuries and now looks like the ideal time to be focusing on football instead.
