Nottingham Forest midfielder Tyrese Fornah has put pen-to-paper on a new contract with the club. After the Wednesday announcement, Lyle Taylor, Brennan Johnson and Marlon Harewood have congratulated him on Instagram.
The 22-year-old has agreed on an extension until 2024 and will now aim to secure a first-team place under Steve Cooper.
Fornah has stepped up to a certain extent this season. He made two Carabao Cup appearances and also stepped off the bench for five minutes during a game against Blackburn.

It has been a frustrating period for him since Cooper arrived though. The boss has gone with tried and tested options and that has pushed Fornah down the pecking order.
With that in mind, a loan move could be in the offing in January as Fornah looks to get some more football under his belt.
Last season he played 44 games for Plymouth in League One. After a strong campaign, it was anticipated that he may be ready to challenge for a place in the team this year.
The form of Ryan Yates and Jack Colback has kept him out of the team. James Garner, Braian Ojeda and Cafu are also all ahead of him in the pecking order.
What have Taylor, Johnson and Harewood said to Forest gem Fornah?
Following his new deal, several Forest players past and present have congratulated Fornah.
He has played alongside both Taylor and Johnson this season and both players will appreciate Fornah’s quality in training.
Harewood is still a fan favourite at the City Ground and he too has wished the Forest talent well now he’s committed his future to the Reds.
Fornah will hope to get a Forest chance in some way, shape or form before the end of the season.
In the short term, that could be out on loan.
