Nottingham Forest seem to be moving quickly in the January transfer window and are now in advanced talks to sign Leeds United’s Cody Drameh on loan.
Leeds Live claim that Forest also want Leeds attacker Sam Greenwood, but it could be one of his teammates joining instead.
The Daily Mail claim that Leeds are now in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Leeds youngster Drameh on loan.
Forest want an option to buy in the deal, and could fend off both Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen for Drameh’s signature.
Would Leeds really be open to selling Drameh? That seems unlikely. The 20-year-old has played in three Premier League games this season and is backed for a huge future.
Leeds aren’t exactly blessed with natural full backs, so Drameh may be needed at Elland Road.
A somewhat confusing note is that the Mail report that Forest have picked out Drameh to replace Djed Spence.
The belief in that report is that Spence is heading back to Middlesbrough, with Drameh in as Forest’s new right back.
Yet with The Sun claiming that Forest have now agreed to keep Spence until the summer, meaning Drameh may not be needed.
If there is any problem with the Spence agreement, we would anticipate seeing Drameh come in; if Spence stays, surely Drameh is kept at Leeds.
