Nottingham Forest are continuing to monitor Inter striker Martin Satriano. The Reds have added Keinan Davis to their ranks on loan this month but strikers are still on the radar.

According to The Athletic, the 20-year-old is a man fancied by the Forest hierarchy. He remains a target, although it remains to be seen whether or not the Reds will swoop this month.

Satriano is one of Europe’s most sought-after players. Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton were all linked with a move in the summer. Manchester United and Manchester City have also scouted the Uruguayan.

Now, Forest want to sign him. It had been reported previously that the Reds were keen to take the international on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

Satriano has featured for Inter this season. He has been used on a sporadic basis, making four appearances for the senior ranks.

It was last season where the youngster really caught the eye. He scored 14 goals and claimed six assists playing in the Primavera development league.

His goalscoring ability is to be admired. Given his age, he’s got bags of time on his side to continue honing his skills.

Quality: Forest should take Satriano on loan now

Although Davis has been added on loan, that shouldn’t stop Forest from pursuing a deal for Satriano. He could spend the second half of 2021/22 getting used to the league ahead of a permanent move in the summer.

  • STAR: Forest man receives praise

Lewis Grabban will be 34-years-old tomorrow. He has 11 goals this season and is out of contract in the summer.

The talisman probably deserves an extension but in the next couple of transfer windows, Forest need to target a younger striker. That should see all roads lead to Satriano and given the quality he possesses, Forest would be silly not to at least try and sign him this month.
