Miltiadis Marinkais has teased that Nottingham Forest are close to a third summer signing with a cryptic message on Twitter.

The man who is overseeing the running of the football club on a day-to-day basis made the cryptic comment yesterday afternoon.

Forest look certain to add French defender Giulain Biancone in the coming days with the deal looking like a formality.

The 22-year-old spent last season at Troyes and he’s capable of playing anywhere across the back line.

Biancone is a former product of the Monaco academy and he played seven times for the first team.

The youngster has been a decent signing for Troyes, scoring once and claiming two assists in 33 appearances.

He’s also spent time in Belgium with Cercle Brugge and he comes with plenty of experience in men’s football.

Biancone could be a really shrewd signing for Forest, with the fee thought to be around £5 million.

The Reds need more than just regular starters to come into their ranks, with squad depth required on Trentside too.

Scott McKenna, Joe Worrall and Steve Cook will likely get a chance to shine in the Premier League.

Right now, the wing-back slots look pretty threadbare, however, and perhaps Biancone will be eyed for one of those slots on a short-term basis.

Marinakis Jr has tweeted a French sentence which translates to: ‘Hello…Are you ready for Nottingham?’.

The Reds will likely ramp up their efforts to sign new players now after a relatively slow few weeks since winning promotion.

Biancone certainly looks like a useful player and if he does well, the £5 million could soon look like a fantastic price.

Marinakis’ son is clearly loving life at Forest. His interaction with the fan base has been joyous and he’s immensely proud of his work.

The Reds look to be in safe hands and it will be intriguing to see how Biancone gets on at the City Ground.
