The Nottingham Forest Matchday Pass has dropped and Dean Henderson and Taiwo Awoniyi have caught the eye for something they did during the draw with Manchester City.

Both players are currently out injured. Henderson hasn’t played since the middle of January with a thigh problem, whilst Awoniyi hasn’t played since a 1-0 win over Southampton after injuring his groin against Southampton.

Forest would love to have both players back. It would perhaps appear that Henderson is someway further back in his recovery than Awoniyi, with Keylor Navas joining the club on deadline day.

As for Awoniyi, the Reds would welcome him back soon. He’d just started to thrive in the left-sided striker role before injury cruelly curtailed his campaign.

Forest are 13th in the Premier League. After Saturday’s draw with Manchester City, the Reds are looking up once again and now have huge games against West Ham and Everton to come.

Both players will hope to get back to full fitness very soon. In the case of Awoniyi his presence back in the Forest forward line would be a huge boost ahead of the final few months of the season.

The Matchday Pass footage has been a fantastic addition to the club’s content plan this season. The behind-the-scenes action follows the team from the moment they arrive until after the game has finished.

After Forest had equalised, supporters tried to get behind the players. A rendition of Forest Are Magic reverberated around the City Ground and it wasn’t just the fan base that were signing the players towards a huge point.

Henderson and Awoniyi were spotted on the footage nodding their head and singing along with the supporters. Awoniyi couldn’t hide his delight at the atmosphere, whilst Henderson could clearly be spotted getting behind his teammates.

After signing 30 players since winning promotion to the Premier League, squad harmony was naturally questioned. Recent matchday content shared by the club, however, suggests that Cooper has no problem in that sense.
