What’s the story? Nottingham Forest v Everton
As far as big games come for Forest this season, they don’t come much bigger than this! Today is a huge game for both teams and the Reds must be ready for a scrap.
Sean Dyche has got Everton far more organised. They have lost their last three games, however, and Forest must look to capitalise on their lack of confidence.
Forest need to claim three points today. By hook or by crook, the Reds simply cannot let Everton leave the City Ground with three points.
Steve Cooper has spoken this week about the fans sticking with the team. There is no danger of that not being the case but Forest must deliver them a performance this afternoon.
Forest playing Everton hasn’t been a spectacle on Trentside since 1999. On that occasion, the Reds were beaten 2-0 thanks to two Duncan Ferguson goals at the City Ground.
If the same happens today, the Reds will be in trouble. They will slip close to the mire once again and relegation could quickly become a genuine possibility once again.
However, if Forest can claim three points it would be huge. They would go seven points clear of the bottom three and leave Everton firmly in a dogfight towards the bottom.
