Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper has given an update on the injury sustained by Renan Lodi at West Ham. The player left the field with around 20 minutes remaining at the London Stadium last week.
Now, Forest face a huge test at home to Everton today. The Reds must keep winning at home, given that their form away from the City Ground is nothing short of abysmal.
Lodi has been an integral figure in the Forest dressing room this season. His form has been so good of late that he’s been named in the Brazil squad for games later this month.

The 24-year-old has bags of time on his side to continue improving. After a sticky start to life in the Premier League, the player is now firmly established as a Forest regular.
Cooper has explained that he faces an anxious wait over Lodi this afternoon. The Brazilian could be subjected to a late fitness test, with Harry Toffolo likely to be on standby.
The Forest head coach told Nottinghamshire Live: “I’m not sure about getting any players back, it doesn’t go that way for us at the moment. Renan walked off at West Ham, so we will where he is with regards to the weekend.”
Cooper has given an update on Lodi injury
It never rains it pours for Forest at the moment. It would be a seriously big blow if Cooper has to do without Lodi for a massive clash against Everton at the City Ground.
Although Forest do have another left-back in Toffolo, the standard would drop somewhat. The man who was at Huddersfield last season is a useful backup but he’s not in the same bracket as Lodi.

The Brazilian international has made 20 appearances for the Reds. Since the World Cup, he’s really kicked on and Forest won’t want to be without him for long.
Cooper will hope for some good news ahead of the Everton contest. If Lodi plays then Forest would certainly have a greater chance of winning the contest this afternoon.
