Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis spoke with players after the Reds lost a lead to draw 1-1 with Wolves yesterday.

According to the Daily Mail, the Reds chief was left unimpressed with the second-half display and took the players to task.

Marinakis isn’t backwards in coming forwards. He’s an opinionated man and seven games without a win must be very frustrating.

Brennan Johnson fired Forest in front during the first half. Daniel Podence scored with seven minutes remaining, however, to bolster their own survival chances.

On Friday night, it was reported that Marinakis might be considering the future of Cooper as the club’s head coach.

It isn’t the first time this season either. The Greek owner was reportedly considering a change after a 4-0 defeat to Leicester in October.

Now, it would appear that Marinakis is monitoring the club’s fortunes with intrigue once again.

The latest report claims that he wasn’t happy with the team in the second half as Forest tried to see out a victory.

He felt that the team should have pushed harder to secure the victory and let the players and head coach know how he felt.

It’s claimed that he marched into the tunnel after the draw and sure;y Cooper won’t be too happy about that.

It has to be said that from the outside looking in, the writing looks to be on the wall for Cooper.

For sure, it will represent a very sad day if the 43-year-old is dismissed but Marinakis has big plans for the club.

Ultimately, the players are still playing for Cooper. As a result, it would make the decision to sack him extremely risky.

A big-name manager is unlikely to come in and replace him at this stage of the campaign and Forest could end up relegated anyway.

Marinakis ultimately owns the club. However, with the fan base in awe of Cooper and season card prices going up, his next decision could be the biggest he’s ever made.
