A report has lifted the lid on the unbelievable amount of money that Nottingham Forest are paying Chris Wood each month.
The Reds signed the 31-year-old striker during the January transfer window initially on loan from Newcastle.
Just a few weeks later it was announced that the deal was made permanent after he had started just three games.

Now, the Daily Mail has produced an article on the current situation at Forest, with some alarming claims about Wood.
It’s thought that the Reds have paid £15 million to sign him permanently. That comes on top of a fee of £4 million to take him on loan for the campaign.
It’s perhaps Wood’s salary that is the most alarming aspect of all. The report suggests that a staggering £100,000-a-week is paid to the man signed from Newcastle.
The striker has proved himself as a pretty useful option in the Premier League. During his career he’s found the net 55 times but it’s fair to say his best days are behind him.
Newcastle were keen to let Wood leave during January. He was behind Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson in the pecking order and Eddie Howe didn’t stand in his way.
Report explains how much Forest are paying Wood
This is frankly absurd. Paying such an amount for a striker who is beyond his best is just ridiculous.
The Reds needed a talisman during January and Cooper decided to try and sign Wood.
Newcastle were keen to let him leave and Forest got their man ahead of the transfer deadline.

In February, Wood scored his first goal for the Reds against Manchester City to earn the team a point.
If the club stays up this season by a point, the experienced performer will have proved to be worth his weight in gold.
This certainly won’t help the critics that believe Wood to be a waste of money, however, and his salary does seem excessive.
