Steve Cooper could be on borrowed time at Nottingham Forest but he’s sent a message to fans after something he did after last night’s loss.
After the game, the Reds’ head coach talked to Nottinghamshire Live who quizzed the boss after another defeat.
The Reds were beaten again. This time, they relinquished a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 at Elland Road as Leeds climbed the table.

Goals from Jack Harrison and Luis Sinisterra ensured that Orel Mangala’s first Forest goal was in vain.
Cooper looked like a broken man and he sounded like one too. He cares deeply about the football club and will always put that first.
At the end of last night’s game, he appeared to delay heading down the tunnel and paused to give the travelling Forest fans a final round of applause.
Cooper insists it was nothing more than a show of extra gratitude following a tough night at the office for the Reds.
He told Nottinghamshire Live: “It was more about the performance. Don’t read anything into that at the end.”
Cooper will face an anxious wait to discover his fate. The reports that have been doing the rounds won’t have escaped his attention and he must know that results are needed quickly.
Cooper has sent a message to the Forest fans
Perhaps the Reds shouldn’t read too much into last night but the writing does appear to be on the wall.
Marinakis won’t be happy with the results or perhaps more crucially, the performance levels that Forest have displayed recently.
That is down to Cooper to address. Something or someone has to give and right now it’s the manager in the firing line.

The 43-year-old has worked wonders during his time on Trentside, leading the club back to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.
But, he’s not immune to criticism and the style of play and mindblowing substitutes are solely on him last night.
Next up is Aston Villa and Forest need a huge response.
