Nottingham Forest have made the right decision to keep Steve Cooper as their head coach, according to England cricketer and Reds supporter, Stuart Broad.
Forest made a statement yesterday, courtesy of the owner Evangelos Marinakis. Media speculation had risen in the wake of a 2-1 defeat to Leeds United on Tuesday night.

Cooper has now overseen eight winless games and Forest are bang in trouble. They will drop into the bottom three for the first time this year if they don’t beat Aston Villa on Saturday.
Leicester face Bournemouth at the weekend meaning that anything less than a win will see the Reds drop into the relegation zone.
Cooper won promotion with Forest last season. It’s no secret that he took over the club when the Reds were bottom of the Championship and took them on an almighty run.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Broad has been a big fan of Cooper’s since he came to the club in 2021. He’s often delivered interviews praising the head coach and he’s happy with the decision the board have taken.
He posted on his Instagram: “Delighted with our owners. Keep making the right decisions. Whatever happens in the next few months, this is the right decision. Quality.”
Broad thinks Forest have made the right decision
The England fast bowler isn’t alone in this decision. The Forest fans are largely in agreement that there is no manager currently out there who could come in and emulate Cooper.
Broad will have one eye on the Ashes this summer. The County Championship gets underway this week and now every effort from the England star will be on getting ready.

He will keep one eye on Forest though. Everyone is hoping the club can get some decent results between now and the end of the season to avoid relegation.
Forest need to stick together in this traumatic period. With everyone now singing from the same hymn sheet, hopefully, better times are around the corner.
