A report has claimed that Nottingham Forest midfielder Jonjo Shelvey wasn’t at training on Monday.
The Times believes that Steve Cooper doesn’t want the 31-year-old involved after a weekend bust-up.
Shelvey wasn’t happy that the head coach had named him as a substitute for Saturday’s trip to Liverpool.

The midfielder was desperate to be involved against one of his previous clubs but Cooper had other ideas.
It’s claimed that the player had been moping around training for the past week and was sent home.
It’s not a great look for Shelvey who has been forced to try and dismiss issues over his application throughout his career.
Now, he looks to be in limbo. The fact he wasn’t at training on Monday suggests that Cooper has no plans to pick him any time soon.
Youngster Oliver Hammond got the nod with Shelvey absent and perhaps that’s an option for Forest going forward.
The player signed from Newcastle in the January transfer window. At the time, he was a surprise addition and he’s failed to get going.
He gave away a comical penalty against Everton and produced a disasterclass during a 2-0 loss at Aston Villa.
With six games remaining this season, it’s difficult to see Shelvey playing for Forest again this season.
Shelvey wasn’t at Forest training on Monday
This is disgraceful on Shelvey’s part. Cooper is one of the most humble blokes in football yet the player has managed to annoy him.

It’s difficult to see a way back for Shelvey here. Forest played well without him on Saturday and he’s not exactly set the team alight.
Shelvey looks like a mess of a signing. In Forest’s current situation, they need team players, not ones looking for arguments with the manager.
Cooper is right to banish Shelvey from training and it will be interesting to see what happens next with the experienced player.
