Alan Shearer has delivered his verdict on a huge win for Nottingham Forest and heaped praise on Danilo.
The Reds beat Brighton 3-1 in their latest Premier League clash. A Pascal Gross own goal, Danilo and Morgan Gibbs-White secured the victory.
This was vastly improved by Forest. The Reds fought for every single ball and despite falling behind, they looked up for it.

Forest could have actually scored more. It perhaps wasn’t a game to remember for Brennan Johnson who missed a penalty and a sitter in the first half.
Shearer was impressed though. He felt the Reds deserved their victory and lauded the impact of Danilo on the team.
The pundit told BBC Match of the Day: “They deserved it. They capitalised on every single error. They had to be patient and Brighton made errors.
“This is a really good finish from Danilo and it was a really good piece of work from him. It’s a lovely finish.”
Forest signed Danilo from Palmeiras in the January transfer window for £16 million and he looks a real player.
Recently, he’s been starting more games and now he’s really starting to show what he’s capable of.
Shearer has praise for Danilo after Forest win
This was a fine display from the young player. Up until now, Steve Cooper has been careful with Danilo but now the shackles are off.
The Brazilian looks like a wonderful player. Forest look to have signed a gem and keeping hold of him is a must in the summer.

Danilo clearly isn’t afraid to shoot either. He was unlucky not to score in the first half and his finish showcased composure beyond belief.
At 21-years-old, the player really does have bags of potential. Forest will hope that he can unearth that with the Reds and his goal last night has given the Reds serious hope of survival.
