Everton supporters have done something this season that Nottingham Forest supporters haven’t, Danny Murphy has told Match of the Day 2.
The Toffees and Forest are embroiled in a battle against relegation, with just four games remaining this season.
Forest face Southampton this evening, with Everton taking on Brighton hours before that clash.
The Reds fan base have been quality in their backing of the team this season and that has never wavered.
Murphy has often praised Forest during 2022/23 and he thinks the Forest fan base might give them the edge.
He told Match of the Day 2: “I think the advantage that Forest have ahead of some of the other teams is that Forest haven’t had a stage in the season where the supporters have turned against them.
“All the other teams playing at home; Everton, Leicester, they’ve had spells where you can see the pressure getting to them.
“There’s so much riding on the games and the jeopardy is phenomenal.”
The Everton fan base are loyal to the death but ultimately the atmosphere has been toxic on several occasions at Goodison Park this season.
Forest would be dead and buried without their home form during the current campaign and tonight they need a big three points.

The Reds will have their twelfth man in their corner tonight and boy do they need them to bring the noise!
Forest desperately need to claim three points this evening and anything other will make surviving relegation tricky.
Steve Cooper has been very complimentary of the team’s supporters this season and they turn out in their droves.
It’s also worth mentioning that Forest are one of two clubs in the bottom half of the table not to sack their manager this season.
For that, Evangelos Marinakis deserves praise and hopefully, his faith can be justified with Premier League survival.
