Ryan Yates wants Nottingham Forest to re-sign Djed Spence and he’s told him as much on Instagram.

The Reds have secured their Premier League status for another season after they beat Arsenal 1-0.

It was a memorable night on Trentside as Forest ended Arsenal’s faint title hopes and sent fans dancing into the streets of Nottingham.

Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal was enough for the Reds to win yesterday’s game, with the Gunners completely devoid of ideas.

Forest defended for their lives but in truth, Arsenal never really looked like scoring past Keylor Navas.

Now, the Reds can look forward to another season of Premier League football following an interesting season.

Yates played alongside Spence last season before the defender chose to sign for Tottenham in the summer.

His transfer to North London hasn’t gone to plan and he currently finds himself on loan at Rennes.

It would appear that Yates wants his buddy to rejoin him at the City Ground and he’s taken to Instagram to suggest as much.

Yates wants Forest to re-sign Spence

The Reds midfielder is certainly keen to see Spence come back to the City Ground in time for next season.

The man who starred for the club on loan has a long contract with Tottenham but his future does appear uncertain.

Spence is currently with Rennes on loan but of late he’s not been playing football there either.

The Reds must now rebuild in the summer and there will likely be plenty of incoming and outgoings.

After yesterday’s game, Spence wrote on Yates’ Instagram, ‘told you’, with the defender clearly believing in Forest.

Yates responded in jovial fashion and he put two emojis; one suggesting back soon and a tree to tip his hat towards the Forest badge.

Ian Wright is a big fan of Spence. He called him ‘unbelievable’ after an FA Cup game last season when the Reds beat Arsenal.

Spence would be a welcome addition to the Forest team but also the club does already have two right-backs.

The player struck up a great partnership down the right with Brennan Johnson and the fans absolutely worshipped him.
