Nottingham Forest vice-captain Ryan Yates has praised Morgan Gibbs-White this morning. The Reds’ star has also claimed that he’s delighted that he doesn’t have to play against him anymore!
Gibbs-White and Yates danced on the City Ground turf at the weekend. Forest defeated Arsenal 1-0 on Trentside to confirm their Premier League status for another campaign.

The Reds have left it late to confirm their survival status. A wretched run of form from February through to April had seriously thrown their time in the Premier League into serious jeopardy.
Now, the players can relax. They head to Crystal Palace on Sunday knowing that they don’t have to worry about getting anything in order to secure their survival.
Gibbs-White has been a huge player for the Reds. Yates came up against the 23-year-old last season when he was on loan at Sheffield United and he’s now glad that he plays on the same team as him.
He told TalkSPORT: “First and foremost he’s a great pro and a really good guy. I remember playing against him last season and he’s probably my most difficult opponent.
“We knew how good he was and he’s gone from strength to strength. He’s got that drive and ambition to continue improving and obviously, he’s worked with the manager before.”

It’s been a remarkable turnaround by the Reds. They looked doomed at one point and ultimately Gibbs-White has been influential.
So too has Yates. He has missed a lot of the second half through injury and his return to regular action has sparked an upturn in fortunes.

Forest must now kick on. They need more signings of Gibbs-White’s ilk and now they should be able to compete to sign some seriously top players.
The talented forward has been backed for an England call-up by Jamie Carragher and on current form, he would be deserving of one.
Forest have justified their spending on Gibbs-White. Now, he will hope to kick on once more and continue fulfilling his potential.
