Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has suggested on Instagram that he’d love to see Dean Henderson return to the club. The goalkeeper has this week returned to Manchester United and has been pictured back in training.
Gibbs-White is fresh from winning the European Championships with the England Under-21 outfit. He played as the Three Lions defeated Spain 1-0 in last night’s final out in Georgia.

The 23-year-old’s stock has risen considerably since Forest parted with a club-record transfer fee to sign him. Steve Cooper tempted the club to pay £25 million to land him, with the fee potentially rising to £42.5 million.
Gibbs-White finished last season with five goals and eight assists; playing more minutes than any other Forest player across the course of the campaign.
Henderson might have run him close in terms of minutes played had he stayed fit. He was firmly established as the club’s number-one goalkeeper when a thigh injury ended his campaign back in January.

The 26-year-old was in fine form before his injury struck. He had helped the Forest revive their form in the Premier League and also starred as Forest beat Wolves in a penalty shootout to reach the semi-final of the Carabao Cup.
United player Darren Fletcher praised Henderson back in September 2020. He called the goalkeeper ‘fantastic’ after some heroics in the Champions League.
Forest star Gibbs-White wants Henderson back at Forest
It does seem for all the world that the United goalkeeper will end up back at the City Ground. It’s been claimed in the media that a deal is on the table for the one-cap England player to sign for the Reds.
Forest star Gibbs-White would certainly love him back. He’s posted on the player’s Instagram: “I need more.”
Henderson was a brilliant character added to the Forest ranks by Steve Cooper. He was seen kicking every ball in the stands even when he’d picked up the injury that so cruelly ended his campaign.
Forest would dearly love to have him back. They won’t want to wait for him much longer though and the sooner United get themselves a new goalkeeper sorted the better it will be for the Reds.
