Nottingham Forest are set to sign Anthony Elanga from Manchester United and the player has now said goodbye on Instagram.

The Reds are set to land their second summer addition, with the 21-year-old now set to be announced as a Forest player.

Elanga will be ending his long association with United. He leaves having made 55 appearances for the club, scoring four times and claiming four assists.

Now, he will hope to help Forest continue progressing in the Premier League and follows Ola Aina in joining the club.

The Reds have moved pretty quickly to sign Elanga. The player has rejected a transfer to Everton, with the player keen to play under Steve Cooper.

Elanga boasts blistering pace and alongside Brennan Johnson and Morgan Gibbs-White, he could star on Trentside.

Forest are set to pay around £15 million for the player. It seems likely that there will also be some add-ons included in the deal by United.

Now, Elanga will be announced as a Forest player extremely soon, with the player taking to Instagram.

He’s posted an emotional goodbye to United and has thanked their club for their contribution to his career to date.

It’s a long post from the incoming Forest star and he’s clearly grateful to United for what they have done for his career.

The Reds are now going to get the player and it will be fascinating to see how he performs at the City Ground.

Elanga desperately needs to play regular football. He was on the pitch for just 700 minutes last season and that simply isn’t enough.

The winger will feel as though he’s good enough to be starting regularly in the Premier League and he will want to be a regular for Sweden too.

Only time will tell just how good this deal is for Forest. If Cooper can get him playing, however, they might have hit the jackpot.
