Anthony Elanga has now been announced as a Nottingham Forest player and Yunus Musah and James Garner have reacted on Instagram.
The Reds have made the winger their second summer signing. He joins the club from Manchester United where he’s risen through the ranks.
Elanga has been a frustrated member of the United squad. He’s made 55 appearances in total but was never considered a regular under Erik ten Hag.

Now, he can park his time at United. Forest have offered him the chance to make a fresh start and he seems delighted to sign for the club.
The Reds have worked tirelessly on this deal. Everton had looked to be winning the race but Steve Cooper has worked his magic on Elanga.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Forest will now have to figure out how best to utilise Elanga. The player typically plays on the right but he can also operate on the left, or through the middle.
This signing does look like an exciting one. Forest have tied down a player with bags of potential and he’s been given a five-year contract at the club.
Elanga will begin training with his new teammates straight away. Forest face Leeds on Thursday night and perhaps the 21-year-old will get his first run out for the Reds.
Garner and Musah react as Elanga is announced at Forest
American midfielder Musah has actually been linked with Forest in the past. He was identified as a target last summer but a deal never came to fruition.
He reacted to Elanga’s move to Forest on Instagram earlier today, posting: “You did it, bro.”
Elsewhere, Forest promotion-winner Garner also commented. He played with Elanga at United and knows all about warming to the Forest fans.
The youngster had two spells on Trentside, helping the club win promotion to the Premier League during 2021/22.
Now at Everton, he posted on Elanga’s social media: “Do your thing, brother.”

The proof will now be in the performances of the man who swapped Manchester for Nottingham.
Elanga fits the profile of exactly what Forest are trying to look for in players under Cooper’s management.
He is young, determined and appears to have the required qualities to help Forest climb the Premier League table next season.
