Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic is currently undergoing a medical at Turkish side Fenerbache.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the Croatian has agreed to join the club after Manchester United finalised a deal to sign Altay Bayındır.
Nottingham Forest were also interested in Fenerbahce keeper Bayındır, but it seems as though he is set for a move to Old Trafford.
Livakovic was too linked to join the Reds for a fee in the region of £8 million, however, no move ever materialised, with Forest signing Matt Turner this window instead.
The Croatian international starred for his nation at the World Cup last year, helping his nation defeat Brazil in a penalty shoot-out before being knocked out in the semi-final by eventual winners Argentina.

Where do Nottingham Forest go from here?
With Crystal Palace ahead of Nottingham Forest in the race to Dean Henderson, a potential deal for the former Reds loanee now looks unlikely.
The Reds have been keen on re-signing Henderson all window long, but parent club Manchester United have made a deal tough to complete, forcing the club to subsequently look elsewhere.
However, new ‘keeper Turner has impressed throughout his first two outings for the club.

In what is his first full season as a Premier League number one, he has the opportunity to cement his place as a first-team regular for Steve Cooper’s side.
It’s no secret that Cooper’s side are still in the market for another shot-stopper, but due to Turner’s impressive performances in the Garibaldi Red, any new addition in that department may only be seen as a backup.
With nine days left in the summer transfer window, it will be interesting to see who if anyone the Reds target in the goalkeeping position.
