Nottingham Forest v Burnley: What’s the story?
The Carabao Cup takes centre stage tonight and in a little over two weeks, the Clarets will be back on Trentside for a Premier League fixture.
Steve Cooper’s team have made an okay start to 2023/24, certainly in terms of performances.
They have lost narrowly to both Arsenal and Manchester United, with the Reds leading 2-0 on Saturday at Old Trafford.
MORE FOREST STORIES

Forest have won a game this season, beating Sheffield United during their only game on home soil so far.
The Reds will want to get a big win in the cup tonight as they look to go into Saturday’s game with Chelsea full of confidence.
Furthermore, the Reds reached the semi-final of the competition last season and clearly Cooper values the League Cup.
For Burnley, it’s been a disjointed start to the campaign after their second game of the season away at Luton was postponed.
They were well beaten against champions Manchester City in the season opener as Pep Guardiola refused to do Vincent Kompany any favours.
On Sunday, they lost 3-1 at home to Aston Villa, with previous Forest player Matty Cash scoring a couple of goals.
Tonight’s game promises to be an interesting one. Both sides would welcome progression in the cup and it’s the first time Cooper and Kompany have come up against each other.
