Nottingham Forest have now had a bid accepted for Norwich City star Andrew Omobamidele on transfer deadline day. The player is undergoing a medical right now and will be unveiled as a new signing.
Things are going mental at the City Ground on transfer deadline day. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have now seen their offer accepted by the Canaries late in the day.

Omobamidele has made a couple of appearances for Norwich this season. He’s played twice in the Carabao Cup and come on twice as a substitute in the Championship.
The 21-year-old signed for Norwich in 2018 and initially joined the club’s youth team ranks. He has risen through the academy teams and has now made 55 appearances in total for the senior ranks at Carrow Road.
Omobamidele has made six appearances for the Republic of Ireland international team. Paul McGrath delivered some praise his way after one appearance, calling him ‘brilliant’ and claiming that the future looked bright.

The Reds are hoping to get a deal for Ibrahim Sangare over the line on transfer deadline day. The club have already signed Nuno Tavares, Nicolas Dominguez and Callum Hudson-Odoi on a frantic deadline day.
Forest have bid accepted for Omobamidele
This link emerged shortly after it was claimed that Hwang Ui-jo was being eyed by the Canaries. Time will tell whether or not a deal can be struck to intertwine the two deals now that Forest’s has been accepted.
Omobamidele would be a very useful addition. He is tall and uncompromising but can also play the ball out from the back as a ball-playing central defender.

It does beg the question as to whether another centre-back might leave late in the day. Forest now have a plethora of options at the back and perhaps some movement will be made in the Saudi Arabia transfer window.
Interestingly, Omobamidele is only 21-years-old. Therefore, if he does sign, he wouldn’t need to be registered as a part of Forest’s 25-man squad for the 2023/24 campaign.
The lights are on at the City Ground and perhaps fans would be wise to make a brew and avoid going to bed just yet!
