Nottingham Forest star Anthony Elanga was in fine form yesterday as the Reds defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. His goal three minutes after the half-time interval gave Forest a wonderful three points.
The Reds can now look ahead to future endeavours with six points on the board from their first four matches. After yesterday’s game, Elanga received praise on Instagram from Morgan Gibbs-White and Brandon Williams.

Elanga signed for Forest for £15 million from Manchester United in the summer. At 21-years-old he already looks like a wonderful signing and what a goal this could prove to be.
It took Forest five months to get a win on the road last season and that came against bottom club Southampton. This one came against a team that cost £1bn to assemble and will want to compete for trophies this season.
Elanga is a popular figure in the dressing room. He’s clearly struck up a good rapport with the players in the Forest senior ranks and naturally, the Reds seem to have done well to land him.

Forest star Elanga praised by Gibbs-White and Williams
Elanga received some kind comments on Instagram from new and old teammates. The Reds star Gibbs-White was in simplistic form and literally placed the words, ‘My boy’, on his post to speak of his delight at scoring his first goal.
Williams also left Manchester United in the summer. He signed for Ipswich Town in the Championship and he will be keen to get his career back on track.
Interestingly, he took a swipe at the Red Devils. He posted: “Let off the leash”. That implies that Elanga perhaps feels like he was underused at Old Trafford and he will be keen to prove a point.

Hopefully, Forest can get more points in the coming weeks. The players now have two weeks without a match and hopefully, when football returns the new players can hit the ground running and challenge for a place.
Elanga will now hope his days on the bench are over. He looks a class act and Forest look to have hit the jackpot by signing the forward from Manchester United.
