Stuart Broad can’t wait to see Ibrahim Sangare in a Nottingham Forest shirt after his transfer deadline day switch from PSV. The Reds landed the player for around £30 million, with the deal announced shortly after the deadline.

Sangare should be a quality addition to the ranks. He has been the primary target all summer and after landing Morgan Gibbs-White last summer, Steve Cooper has now been given his number-one target for the last two years.

The 25-year-old is viewed as one of the top defensive midfielders in world football. He was courted by PSG and Bayern Munich in the summer and Forest have completed an amazing coup.

He had been with PSV since 2020 when he checked in from Toulouse in France. Sangare made over 100 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit. Before he signed for Forest he helped them qualify for the group stages of the Champions League.

Now, he will be strutting his stuff on Trentside for the next five years. He has signed for a club-record transfer fee and Forest fans are absolutely over the moon.

Broad can’t wait to see Sangare in a Forest shirt

Broad took to Instagram to speak of his delight at signing Sangare from PSV. The Reds have pulled off a ridiculous coup with this one. As a result, it’s hard to fathom that he’s signed for the club.

This is the most stellar signing of them all from deadline day. Naturally, that makes sense given the fee and Sangare could now start to seriously pull the strings at the City Ground.

Broad said on Instagram: “Heard great things and the videos I’ve seen he looks proper.”

The player is a serious signing and long may Forest keep getting these type of signings through the door for the foreseeable.
