TNT Sports commentator and Nottingham Forest fan Darren Fletcher has delivered his verdict on the Reds’ transfer window.
Fletcher was a guest on the Garibaldi Red Podcast yesterday and spoke in depth about the business conducted by Steve Cooper and his team on deadline day.
He was full of praise for the business completed in the midfield department in particular, highlighting that reinforcements were needed in that area.
However, out of the signings he highlighted Nicolas Dominguez as a ‘sensational‘ talent and an excellent signing.

“The midfield area is going to be so competitive. Just when we thought we found the right balance of [Ryan] Yates, Danilo and [Orel] Mangala, you’re now adding [Ibrahim] Sangare who’s the one they wanted all the way through the window and the one I have heard tremendous reports about is Nicolas Dominguez.

“I was speaking to Don Hutchinson who covers Serie A on TNT Sports and he watches Italian football diligently. He said Dominguez is known in Italy as the ‘king of the press’.
“If you can bring that type of energy into midfield alongside an elite player like Sangare, plus the mix that we have – that becomes a real key area for Forest.
“You have to be strong in midfield and have the ability to play through that – an issue that has significantly been addressed by Nottingham Forest this summer.”
