Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga is currently sitting at the top of the Premier League charts for average distance carried when dribbling at the opposition.

The 21-year-old winger currently averages 14.4m covered per dribble, a whole 1.2m more than second place.

Former Manchester United man Elanga leads the way ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ £50 million forward Matheus Cunha.

Forest’s Swedish international forward is yet to start a Premier League game for the club, but his early performances off the bench have reflected his talents.

Elanga could be a great replacement for Brennan Johnson

He may not have started a Premier League game for the Reds just yet, but Anthony Elanga has already proven to be a great addition to the Forest side.

Elanga claimed a brilliant assist for Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal at Arsenal, before claiming his first goal away at Chelsea with a calm and composed finish.

His pace on the counter against the Gunners is something Forest have been crying out for, with his attributes fitting Steve Cooper’s counter-attacking play style to a tee.

The ‘electric‘ winger looks to be a great replacement for the departed Brennan Johnson, with a fee of £15 million looking to already be a great price for the 21-year-old who could turn into a superstar.

Hopefully, he can claim his first start in the Premier League on Monday against Burnley at the City Ground.
