It’s been claimed how much Nottingham Forest paid to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea this summer and they got an absolute bargain! The Reds signed the winger on transfer deadline day to end his association with the Blues.

According to The Telegraph, the Reds got themselves an unbelievable deal for the player who has made an England appearance. It’s believed that he cost the club just £3 million and that is pretty remarkable.

Hudson-Odoi burst onto the scene at Chelsea. He produced several eye-catching performances and at one point he was being courted by Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

In recent years, he has lost his way. A serious Achilles injury curtailed his progress and this summer Mauricio Pochettino opted to cash in on the player who is still only 22-years-old.

Hudson-Odoi has earned praise in the past. Frank Lampard has called him ‘incredible’ and he will hope to kick his career to the next level during his time at Forest.

The Reds getting Hudson-Odoi is frankly bonkers. If Steve Cooper can get him in the right frame of mind and get him producing the form he was at Chelsea a few years ago, he could prove a great signing.

There is work for the player to do though. First, he will have to get himself into the team. With Anthony Elanga starting his City Ground career well too, there is competition.

Hudson-Odoi is an exciting addition to the ranks. Given his injury record of the last few years, perhaps the jury will remain out for a little bit but he should soon be up to speed.
