Callum Hudson-Odoi was full of praise for the Nottingham Forest atmosphere after his debut at the City Ground last night.

The 22-year-old joined the Reds on deadline day from Chelsea for a fee in the region of £3.5 million with a ‘significant‘ sell-on fee according to Fabrizio Romano.

Hudson-Odoi marked his debut with a stunning finish which claimed a vital point for Steve Cooper’s side after going a goal down at half time.

Former Chelsea man Hudson-Odoi admitted that he was surprised by the atmosphere at the City Ground last night.

Speaking to BBC Radio Nottingham after the final whistle, the winger was full of praise for the Reds supporters.

“The atmosphere was absolutely crazy, the fans drove us from minute one to 90, so it was an amazing experience.

“They gave us lots of encouragement and drove us all the way which was needed at certain times, especially during the closing stages.

“It was a tough game and they gave us the motivation we needed to keep pushing to try and get all three points.”

At just 22-years-old it’s hard to imagine how Forest managed to get him so cheap this summer.

Yes, the player has lost his way a little bit but Chelsea might have made a mistake in letting the winger go for as little as he did.

This may only be one game for Hudson-Odoi at Forest. However, his goal will give him a huge confidence boost and hopefully, the goal will be the first of many for the talented youngster.
