Don Goodman raved about Nottingham Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi after his goal earned the Reds a share of the spoils against Burnley. It was the youngster’s debut and boy did he mark it in style.
The pundit was on co-commentary duty for Sky Sports last night. Goodman spoke well about Forest and he was pretty impressed with the goal that Hudson-Odoi scored.

For the Reds, this was by no means a good performance. It was dogged in patches and belied a team that hadn’t really welcomed the 16-day break between their last game.
Still, the new signings are going to need some time to settle into their new surroundings. There were some positives from last night but Forest didn’t really deserve to win this game.
Goodman was impressed with the moment of magic that helped the Reds claim all three points. He raved about Forest star Hudson-Odoi live on Sky Sports after his wonderful debut goal.

He told Sky Sports: “What a strike that is. It’s come out of nowhere really. Burnley had control. It shows at this level it just takes one piece of absolute genius.
“It’s all about Callum Hudson-Odoi. That’s how he’d have pictured it in his dreams and he’s pulled it off. Welcome to the City Ground.”
Goodman raves about Forest star Hudson-Odoi
The Reds needed to ensure they were well-stocked after the departure of Brennan Johnson. Given that Hudson-Odoi cost just £3 million they might have just hit the jackpot.
It’s nice to hear Goodman praise him and he’s absolutely spot on. This goal was exactly how Hudson-Odoi will have imagined it in his dreams and he will now be craving more.

At just 22-years-old it’s hard to imagine how Forest have got him so cheap this summer. Yes, the player has lost his way a little bit but Chelsea might have dropped the ball a little bit with this one.
This is just one game for Hudson-Odoi at Forest. However, his goal will live long in the memory and hopefully, there is more to come from the talented youngster.
